The night before last

In case you all forgot, it was my weekend a couple of days ago.

Yes, that's right, my weekend. You can't escape it that easily. Oh no.

So, what did I do? Well, I went with Mark to see Aiko sing and play the blues in a blues bar named Terraplane in Shibuya. It was very, very cool. Aiko writes all of her own songs, and for such a little lady, she can really belt them out. Her music is really beautiful and moving, even without understanding the words - when I had the songs explained to me, it made perfect sense, the music had already told half the story.

After Terraplane, Mark and I decided on a bit of Karaoke. I sang some cool songs and some not so cool (on Mark's insistence that I choose something embarrassing). Here's my list:

Creep
West End Girls (I know, I know)
Paranoid Android
Bulls on Parade
Where is my mind?

Dude, what fun!

Back

We've been back from Coff's Harbour for nearly a week now. I've been mostly sleeping since then. We had lot's of fun, swam a bit, and did other things. It rained somewhat, but I didn't mind, I like the rain.

Yep. That was Coff's.

Oh, I do plan on putting up some pics when Nat gets around to scanning and burning them for me. I seriously need a digital camera. And a license to kill.

Coffs Harbour

Well, it's only four days 'till Nathan, Nat and I go to sunny Coffs Harbour. I'm quite looking forward to it, and whenever my lack of study made me feel even the slightest bit guilty,
I'd just say to myself "Whoa there, Nellie" (that's what I call myself, long story). "Whoa there, Nellie", I'd say, "you're going to Coffs Harbour soon, and anyway, only losers study". And then I'd feel all right.

We're staying at a Motel/Hotel which Nathan managed to get mates rates at. It's on Ocean Parade, which, as you can see on this map is right on the water. Plus, we get breakfast delivered each morning! You can't ask for significantly more than that.

Anyhoo, one of the main reasons for this posting was to collate a list of activities to partake of whilst in Coffs, so without further ado, the list :

  • Chill
  • Read books
  • Listen to much music
  • Swim, snorkel
  • Watch movies
  • Bush walk
  • Eat out
  • Go shopping

If there's anything else you think would be cool, drop me a line, or add a comment, and I'll add it to the list.
