Hmmm, a few things have happened.
I got a haircut the other day, for 2400 yen, the experience involved TWO hairwash/massages and a only partly strained conversation with the hairdresser.
I have photos, but I cannot upload at the moment, since my phone battery died last night...recharge soon.
Other news: Renee's boyfriend Jeremy held a party at his house last night, about thirty people came, lots of fun was had by all and there was an earthquake.
More news: I forget, but it was exciting.

Oh my goodness, guess what?!?
Bwah! I have a room full of darkness. The no light kind. Turns out that my sliding doors and windows have wooden door thingies which can be pulled out to black out the bright.
Since the sun comes up at fourish in the morning, this is certainly a good thing.

I'm alive and well, just had a great weekend.
Sunday was a lot of fun, walked around Omotesando drinking coffee and talking in the afternoon and ate yakiniku with some friends on Sunday night.
On Monday, met up with Helen and Mark and Mark's girlfriend. We travelled two stops towards Shinjuku from Shimokitazawa on the Odakyu line...can't remember the name of the place...but we ate huge amounts of excellent food. Tasty. Went back to shimokita, drank coffee for a while then retired.
Lots of things happening.
On Wednesday night, Stan and I finally 'officially' met Renee, our above-neighbour...the lady who lives in the flat above our house. I went up to drop off some mail and then we started talking and then Stan joined us and then the evening progressed into the early hours hanging out in Shimokita.
It was a most enjoyable night, involving a lot of pop cultural comparisons. Favourite directors, movies, actors, books, music, bananas, decapitation methods, monkey species, etc...
Tonight is my Friday night, so hello weekend. I'm hoping to get a little more rest on this weekend. Conserve funds. Relax. Work on Heath's comic page. Be the calm little centre of Tokyo. Eat chilli ('cause 'chilli' looks a lot like 'chill').
I just got home from a night of sushi and pool with Heath. What fun we had. My game deteriorated even faster than it normally does, though I did manage to win a round.
I said 'round' to avoid overusing 'game' in a sentence.
But then I realised it probably sounded weird or ambiguous.
So I explained my choice.
