The reason we play

I leave for Japan on Tuesday, that's soon.
In preparation, I have been spending much time with friends. Wednesday night was dinner at Monkey Monkey Monkey in Darby street. Then over to the Del for a coupla drinks in the beer garden.
Thursday was rpg night (as it has been for the last few weeks). Some dice were rolled, I spoke with a pirate accent, Nat ruled with a bearded face and we all had fun.
I have really enjoyed spending time with these people and I made some new friends. That always seems to happen to me just before a going away. I make a bunch of great new friends, and then either they or I run off to a different country/city/plane of existence.
Today, I met with an old friend that I hadn't seen in ages, topping off the end of friend's week.
And now, well now I'm trying to complete painting the ceiling at my parent's place (only about 18 months too late).
Actually, now I'm watching Alias, but the sentiment is the same.
