Weekend Recap

Nathan and Nat came down this weekend. We spent large amounts of cash on food, went into town on Saturday, ate at Portobello (near the opera house), watched eight episodes of The Tick in a row (poor Nathan doesn't have Nat and my stamina for endless television) and generally enjoyed ourselves.

I have to say, having friends around fo' the weekend is something I love. It makes me feel like I have achieved something during my day and a half off I get each week, and it certainly helps me approach work feeling refreshed.

What's that? Ah. I hear sweet sleep calling to me. It's unfortunately late on a Sunday evening, and I must to bed. (It's a depressing thought that I consider ten past nine to be late these days, oh well).

Goodnight

Pre-sleep image #2

A while ago now (maybe a couple of weeks), I had a very strong image come into my head:

A woman, dressed in an orange summer dress, with a large bag (or pouch) around her neck. Sometimes the pouch was in front of her, other times it would hang behind her.

Whenever someone said anything, she would patiently walk to them, and remove each word they said from her bag, and give it to them. Without her, nothing would be said.

The thing that impacted me the most was her determination to complete her task. She would trudge along, offering up each word without complaint, even though some people said so many that meant so little.

It was a particularly pleasing image to fall asleep to.

Did you know?

Try dancing-away your worries instead of feeding them effortlessly to seagulls.

You will both feel better in the morning.
