Anyways, so someone from the "Moonee Valley Racing Club" rang up at work today, but I thought they said they were from the "Men Evaluation Club"...hilarity ensued.

Just a short bit of site news...the magisys television guide has come back, and it's bigger and better than ever.

Actually, that's not true, it's almost exactly the same as it was.
But it works!
Events of great cool have transpired over the last week and a half.
Firstly, Joel came to town, he finally got to see a physical representation of the pad. He was down in Sydney for the Robocup and spent a coupla hours here before soldiering on to Newcastle.
That was fast.
Secondly, I finally graduated on Wednesday. That was fun, I've got some photos which I'll post, if I ever post any photos again. (I kid, I kid, I do plan to post some pics sometime soon, to a cinema near you!).
After graduation I met up wit' NJ, we had good gelato and bad coffee on Beaumont St in Hamilton. (At that gelato place near the train station, if you're interested.)
Thirdly, Tim and Nathan came to the pad, we watched films, we drank beer (and a little vodka), we chatted 'till the wee hours and played three handed five hundred. All was good, and then, then, then, Jared, Sarane, Luke and Amanda came on 'round to the pad on their way through into town, making the whole evening one groovy something or other.
Okay, so if you were actually involved with my past week, you'd know that I sorta played 'round with the chronology, but that's how it plays-out in my head, so quit complaining!
Anyways, I had a very enjoyable last week, and if you were involved, thank you.
Thank you
::Sniff::I love you guys::Sniff::
I always wondered why people hurried so much in peak-hour conditions. It always seemed to me that the only thing to look forward to was more traffic, so why fight it?
Well, not any more baby, not any more!
Yesterday, I was feeling antsy, hurried and generally like a Sydney driver. So, I embarked upon my morning's driving with more vigor and exuberance than usual. And O! how I drove.
I wove in and out, managing to fly my car over trucks and through the smallest of gaps, and then, it happened...
I was there! The promised land. The other side. Sydney's Shangri-La. The traffic-less zone.
I don't know if I'll ever see it again. But I do know that I will be searching for it forever more. I could be just one more lane change away, just one more amber light...
Nat has done much for me today, and for that I am grateful. I had forgotten to organise my academic dress for my graduation in a week, and, well, things coulda gotten quite messy.
But, fortunately for me, mon ami Nat was to the rescue, using his sleeping time to organise my gear.
Thanks bud.
Out on site, waiting for a cable to be made up...
Costanza!
STOP THE PRESS!
Robin and I just got back from over an hour and a half stuck in the elevator. I always thought it would be cool to be stuck in an elevator, but not really for any more than five minutes.
We went through all the stages, fear, anger, doubt, laughing a bunch, confusion, phoning people and making whistling noises...
We got a really great joke out of it, but it's a visual joke, so I can't really let you in on it.
Also, Robin told me his porn star name. What a hoot!
Spooookiy-Ooookiy!
Got called into a chat with the boss today. It was all very positive and pleasant, and it looks like I'll be starting my duties a couple of months earlier than expected. So that's good.
I've decided upon a budget for the year, though I must admit to dismay. I really thought I'd be able to save a lot more than it looks like I will...so it's going to be super budget time.
No more will I feast on caviar and spades...no more!
Bank account looks a little healthier today, though most of it will be out of there by tomorrow...
Robin and I just had another excellent idea! People should have their clothes tattooed-on, 3D style. Then, they should make everyone else wear 3D glasses, to check out their new future threads. Think about it, it's an obesely good idea!
In other news, my bank account now holds a beefy $45.56!
Pay days at work are on the first and the sixteenth of each month, but there was a mix-up with my account details, and it's now the fifth, and I still don't got my dough.
This makes me a sad panda.
On the upside, I can't not waste what I don't not got.
Well, keep on excelling, my legions of cool.
Update: Still no money. ::Sniff::
Well, my plan to update the website's content this weekend looks a-like it will be going ahead, about which I am truly excited.
But for all you content-hungry people out there, I hugely recommend a visit to this beautiful, wordless comic. Go, see, enjoy.
Good luck, token atom!
